Going, Going . . .
A noxious compound of KGB/FSB cynicism and increacreasingly messianic Russian nationalism has propelled Mr. Putin - while the world simply watched Mr. Trump follow Russian orders.
Mr. Putin initially aimed to control Ukraine without invasion, but by showing readiness to use force, he spread fear—a key tool in his political approach. In the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, Vladimir Putin holds several notable strategic advantages. Unlike Western leaders, who often face internal disagreements, he operates independently and is accountable solely to himself. “He has no real allies, and because he silences his critics as ruthlessly as he violates his neighbors’ sovereignty, few domestic constraints exist. . . For him, Russia’s post-Soviet history has been a catalogue of American-inflicted humiliation, which it is his mission to reverse. He wants his neighbors to be weak more than he wants Russians to be prosperous. . .” (The Economist, Sept 6th, 2014)
In the old “Iron Curtain” days of Stalin, Khrushchev, and Brezhnev, people either joined the Communist Party, or they were often imprisoned in Siberia. Gorbachev opened Russia and allowed people to live more freely – which lasted less than a decade. In the thousand-year-old history of Russia, this was just a blink of an eye. Putin closed the curtain on this era, and this time it wasn’t made of iron, but of softer metal. He used the tools he learned in KGB school – fake news, brainwashing, clandestine analysis and operations, covert and stealthy undercover work, stealing western monies, and the damn best dupery known to man.
Andrey Illarionov was a Russian economist and former senior financial and policy advisor to Vladimir Putin from April 2000 to December 2005. (Wikipedia) He now lives and works in Washington, D.C. as a senior analyst for Russian and European Affairs at the Center for Security Policy. He said, “The political system and political regime in Rusia is not like the United States or any Western countries. It is NOT a democracy. It is not even a semi-democracy. It is not even an authoritarian region anymore. Right now, it ‘s a totalitarian regime and is just a one-man show . . . You can punish 145 million Russians and Oligarchs, and it will not change the decision-making process of Putin . . . It has been Putin’s dream for decades to destroy Ukraine. . . His death toll is way over a million persons. His goal is not only to stop in Ukraine, but his goal is to move into Europe. . . Ukraine is just a testing ground, and so far, the West has not done enough to prevent the onslaught and bombing of hospitals, schools, apartment buildings, and other civilian properties. The West may not want to be at war with Russia, but they also may have no NO CHOICE.” (Quoted in From Democracy to Democrazy, Chapter 8, page 137-138).
Now, the frontline of Putin’s war on democratic countries has come to the United States. It is hard to believe that Trump’s death toll exceeds the number attributed to Putin. “On February 28, 2026, a U.S. Tomahawk missile strike hit the Shajareh Tayyebeh Elementary School for girls in Minab, southern Iran, killing at least 168 to 175 people, primarily children.” (Wikipedia) The closure of USAID, has deliberately begun a genocide across Africa. Based on reports, mathematical modeling and projections from 2025-2026, the dismantling of USAID estimated that 103 people are dying every hour and by 2040 over 14 to 15 million human souls – mostly children - will be lost. (The University of Maryland) These deaths are the responsibility of Donald Trump, Marco Rubio, and Elon Musk. Don’t forget, Mr. Musk was in Moscow, met with Putin, only 2 weeks before the closure of USAID.
Putin sought USAID’s closure because its program reports from 122 countries included demographic and political data that was shared with the CIA. And because Mr. Trump is “controlled” by Mr. Putin – the closure of USAID was foremost on his list when Trump returned to office in 2025 along with the closure of NATO.
I know this because I was the senior manager of programs and the signature on USAID Contract reports from Russia (eight cities) and in all of Central Asia (5 countries) and in Afghanistan.
Congress has not been unified in responding to the dismantling of USAID and related humanitarian losses, due to partisan divisions, a political shift toward “America First,” and other strategic priorities. House Democrats call the actions illegal, while many Republicans view the cuts as “fiscally necessary.”
These same Congressional Republicans saying that “the deaths of twice as many Black Africans as the number of Jews killed by Hitler - is selfishly worth “cuts to American “federal fiscal mismanagement” are NOT dedicated Americans and should lose their jobs.
Under Trump’s first term, the national debt grew by $7.8 trillion – the greatest increase in U.S. history. In his second term, he has proposed a 42 percent increase in defense spending while cutting other nondefense programs which benefit students, seniors, health care, etc. This is the same man who promised no wars to gain votes.
(Found in Democracy from Democrazy, Chapter 2)
And in the last 20 years, Russia has increased its clandestine operations on a global scale, with the United States being its primary target and with Donald Trump hooked by Putin.
IT IS TIME FOR AMERICANS TO WAKE UP AND FOR OUR CONGRESS TO DO THEIR JOB. THE EVIDENCE AND PROOF HAS BEEN DOCUMENTED.

Yes Ian, our children will pay the price of our massive ignorance and poor education. I worry for my grandson. Warm Wishes, Elizabeth
Our nation has been controlled by men since its' inception and Donald Trump has managed to win his two elections against much more qualified women which should tell all of us just how blindly, stupidly and misogynistic our nation's men have always been.
He and his cabinet are denigrating our nation and our people to that of a third world status and the majority in our Congress are too self centered to see the change they are enabling.
Our children will pay the price of our ignorance.
