Trump Threatens the ICC
Does he not understand that he has murdered innocent people worldwide?
Politics published an article today titled “US Threatens International Court with Sanctions Unless Court Agrees Not to Prosecute Trump after 2029.”
Reports indicate that the Trump administration is urging the International Criminal Court (ICC) to ensure that Donald Trump and other senior United States officials are not subject to prosecution for alleged war crimes. Mr. Trump now realizes that he and his staff have committed serious “crimes against humanity.” He worries that the ICC could investigate top officials, including himself, leading to a serious conflict with the world’s main war crimes tribunal.
Amending the Rome Statute – the international contract signed between member states - necessitates approval from two-thirds of the ICC member states. This presents a significant diplomatic and legal challenge that both critics and founders of the court consider unlikely to succeed.
This move by the Trump administration demonstrates the president’s awareness of his crimes. It is an admission of guilt and a desire to avoid punishment for his crimes. Just like Mr. Trump was a draft dodger five times, he is now attempting to skirt around his latest criminal behavior. His attempts to alter international law for his own benefit will not sway the authorities at the ICC. After all, they have also issued an arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin due to his war crimes in Ukraine.
Mr. Trump has previously been convicted of business fraud, or 34 felony counts, and of sexual assault on a woman in a department store dressing room. He has not served time in jail or prison for these crimes but has been forced to pay large fines and fees as restitution. Crimes committed in his second term as the US President, are far more serious.
Founded in 1961 by President J.F. Kennedy, USAID was the largest global funder of international aid, with over 10,000 employees and an annual budget exceeding US$40 billion, representing 20% of worldwide aid (OCHA, 2025). It supported thousands of organizations and programs for vulnerable populations in the Global South. USAID was also the primary source of funding for major UN agencies like the WHO and WFP - the world’s largest humanitarian organizations.
The Guardian wrote, “But why shut down USAID during the first week in office? Special government employee Elon Musk has called USAID a ‘criminal organization’, while President Trump said it is run by ‘radical leftist lunatics’, and for this reason if must be closed.
Two main reasons are behind this closure. The primary reason is that Putin instructed Mr. Trump to shut down USAID, since reports and information from 122 countries about local political situations were being provided to the CIA via USAID. Second, Mr. Trump’s obvious and disgusting bigotry and discrimination contributed to the decision to stop supporting African nations. He also stopped all DEI programs in the United States for businesses, schools, and government. DEI stands for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion – a framework used by organizations to promote fair treatment, and a sense of belonging for all people. (Wikipedia)
Harvard’s T.H.Chan School of Public Health stated, “The Trump administration’s decision to shut down the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has resulted in hundreds of thousands of deaths from infectious diseases and malnutrition.” It is now estimated that over 14 million people will die due to Trump’s closure of USAID in Africa. Can you grasp this level of human carnage and annihilation - more than twice the number of Jews tortured and murdered by Hitler!!!
“When there is no war, you are not committing war crimes when you kill people indiscriminately. You are just plain committing murder.” (Written by Lisa Neeham from Public Notice, Dec. 5, 2025). Mr. Trump and Mr. Hegseth have murdered over 80 individuals (Ibid) in the Caribbean with no proof of drug smuggling. This too is a ‘crime against humanity.’
These “crimes’ cannot just be swept away by Trump’s threats of sanctions against the ICC. If it weren’t so detestable and hideous, it would be unbelievable.
